A is for awesome!

I’m currently feeling beautiful. This body is doing amazing things to grow a baby, another human being, and yet it continues to be all the things it has always been. Very often, without any awareness of appreciation on my side, it has nurtured and endured, taken me to places, kept me safe and warm when needed. It has grown, developed, lived, learned. It’s quite spectacular. And now, on top of it all, it is doing the same for two.

So, as I lingered longer than usual taking my shower today, and saw my gigantic belly, it seemed to shine and reflect the sunlight. I kid you not; it was like those scenes in the movies, where the light and the mood is just right. It was awesome.

Thank you, body, for doing all of this – it is a beautiful and generous gift.
